Extracurricular activities

Because Bonnie has anaphylaxis* and suffered some pretty scary reactions from trace amounts of allergens on her skin, we kept her in a bubble for some time. It's only really been this year that we've introduced her to outside activities.

Here she is with William at her Kindy's Teddy Bear Picnic

She started learning piano at around 3.5, and at almost 4.5 she received her first trophy!

She was the youngest student at the concert! Teaching is usually from 5 years and up, but Bonnie has proved otherwise. Very cute watching her set her book on the piano, and listen to her read the notes aloud before playing them. Their teaching method is 'point, play, say' so our house is regularly filled with a little something like this...

"C, D, E, Rest, C2, D2. WILLIAM! Mu-um William won't let me play!"

* Bonnie has severe allergies to milk protein and all nuts. She did have allergies to soy and eggs but they appear to have subsided. She is classed as anaphylactic, and carries and Epipen Jnr with her at all times.

A budding little 'maestro' - well done!!

I had forgotten about Bonnie's allergies; great to hear that there has been an improvement.
